Weed crosses the placenta & can be found in the newborn's body for up to a month after a single use. Just like smoking tobacco, it causes less food & oxygen to get to the baby. This factor alone affects your baby's growth and brain development. Newborns of mothers who have used marijuana throughout pregnancy cry more. Some studies suggest that children exposed to marijuana while in the womb are at increased risk for attention disorders and learning problems that might not show up until school age.

Can probably slow the growth and development of the baby and can possibly increase the chance of the mother having a premature delivery.  Also they baby can go through withdrawal symptoms, cry and probably have a low immune system.

Yes, there maybe no effect. But best to ask your doctor.

There is actually no evidence that marijuana can or will do anything to your unborn child. There haven't been any human studies on the effects so all is unknown. But the responsible and safest choice would to not do any at all.

Marijuana stays in the body for up to 6 weeks after use stored in fat. When used its psychoactive ingredient is in the bloodstream of the mother and can cross the placental barrier. That means that the baby has had the affects of the drug and while there are few studies about the long term exposure to the unborn it is safe to say that any unnecessary drug ingested by the mother should be avoided at all costs including tobacco and alcohol and many over the counter drugs. In the States if you test positive for any drugs in your system you could lose custody of your child and why risk the unknown consequences of using any substance while pregnant? The best advice is don't, and I would refrain from taking anything without first getting the go ahead from my doctor, even aspirin. It just isn't worth the risk.

You can do great harm to the baby. Go and see your doctor and seek treatment and stop using - please for your sake and the sake of the baby.

Nothing. There is no proof that marijuana is harmful to anyone, of any age. I suggest that you get a medical marijuana license if you intend to smoke. Otherwise, you will encounter all kinds of trouble from the uneducated uninformed masses, including government agencies such as CPS.

Studies have shown that consumption of illegal drugs during pregnancy can result in miscarriage, low birth-weight, premature labor, placental abruption, fetal death, and even maternal death.
But the key word in this answer is CAN, as I'm not aware of any government statistics or records.

Do you really want to know that. It's a person of no concern for letting there unborn smoke it with them and not given him or her a chose to say NO. That baby has no chose but to smoke it. That baby didn't ask to be brought into this world.... That's the effects it has on a unborn baby.

Give your child the right to say no to a chose he/she never had to begin with in the first place.
