Ashleyzag, with all due respect I am just wondering if smoking pot is illegal in the United States, how do you feel it is okay because your state deems it okay.  If the feds busted your husband or anyone else and they were under the influence of "weed", they would be in trouble because it is not legal in the country.  I just can't figure out why it is allowed in certain states,and I know it is, if it is not legal in the COUNTRY!!

Marijuana is illegal because it is a huge industry on both sides of the law. Lawmakers already know that marijuana is less harmful, addictive, and creates less dependence than caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco. Marijuana has been used to undermine civil rights and freedom of speech for 100 years. Watch the movie "Grass" for a fun but accurate explanation of marijuana prohibition in America. Ok i totally and 100% agree with nosailnomo. Most of what nosailnomo has said is true from what i know. And to add to that it would be a great income if they taxed it. This is from an article i found: The top marijuana-producing state could raise $1.3 billion annually, according to the California Board of Equalization, which collects taxes. Which is very good.

My sons father did that and then same and he is fine.... My cousin smoked it when she was pregnant and her daughter was small at birth but is fine... I wouldn't worry to much about it...

Are you crazy??? Of course it matters!!! Read teratogenmarijuana.pbwiki.com   for starters, It would be completely irresponsible to try and conceive knowing that either future mother or father were using marijuana and even worse to think that a pregnant woman would smoke marijuana. You need to give your future children the best and healthiest chances in life right from pre-conception!

It is not smart for pregnant women to smoke it BUT ALMOST EVERY FATHER I KNOW has had it in their system at time of conception and they r all healthy babies. My husbands is a LEGAL MEDICAL marijuana smoker. We belong to Cedars Sinai Medical Center and had our daughter there. It can lower sperm count especially if the man's sperm count is not too high to begin with, But to say that we are "irresponsible" because of what my husband LEGALLY and privately smokes for medical reasons???!!!!

Well compare that to alcohol and tobacco."for women who are pregnant, can build in the placenta and travel to the fetus" another quote from your link. However it doesn't say any bad effects on the fetus.

Oh no how dare anyone question why my baby used to b on pot I was smokin itmedicinally LOL lady because I'm pretty sure you can prescribed a myriad of things by a doctor MANY of which you CAN NOT take while pregnant as in antibiotics etc... So you basically sound like a complete moron!
