It can vary from person to person but on average implantation occurs between 6-12 days after ovulation. Implantation bleeding can occur during this process and if it does this is nothing to worry about, it is perfectly normal.  Women should only experience a little bit of spotting, different from a period.
If you do experience implantation bleeding it is difficult to give an exact answer on how long the bleeding lasts for. It can go on for anything from a day to a month. If you are worried that it is going on too long, or if the bleeding gets heavier and you are also experiencing painful cramps it is worth going to your doctor to make sure everything is fine.
Implantation bleeding happens in around a third of pregnant women and is nothing abnormal. It is normal for the spotting to be a red or brown colour.
If in doubt, always consult your doctor or a nurse for advice especially with regards to pregnancy.
Implantation is when the egg and sperm become one. Once the egg has travelled down the fallopian tubes into the uterus it will attempt to attach itself to the uterus wall to start its 9 month journey in the womb.

Implantation has nothing to do with having sex for the first time. After you ovulate, usually mid-month, you egg floats down you fallopian tube. If sperm are present, then fertilization can occur, but not always. If the egg and sperm meet and fertilization does happen, the blastocyst travels to your uterus. This takes about 6-10 days. Then it will bury itself into the lining of the uterus. A few women have implantation bleeding and all it is is the zygote implanting. The bleeding is very short in length and doesn't look like period blood. Hope this helps.

Implantation can occur immediately but you may not aware of it. In fact, first of all, the ovary's oval receives the sperm and they both make another thing which is called "zygote". And afterwards that zygote develops. It takes time to come into the knowledge of woman. You can take further information from the link given below about it.

OK. So I got off my period about a week ago, on the 20, I had sex on the 22 the 24 and the 27. Then on thursday I had some bleeding. At first it was brownish. And its not a constant flow, its more every few hours, now its more of a pinkish orange-ish color! I'm not sure what it is. I'm thinking about making an appt. With the doctor just in case. Does anyone know what it is?

She was only merely answering another girls questions if you go to the question above yours, then you'll see. All of the questions and answers are in order from when they came. So maybe you should be calm and read things before you freak out on someone trying to help another out with a question!

I have read that during implantation bleeding does occur, its suppose to be a very light bleeding due to the egg making space for the baby to grow. But I am unsure how long it lasts. I hope this helps.

There is a weak thin wall inside vagina. When you have sex for the first time, you will feel enormous pain. As soon as the penis gets in, the wall breaks and bleeding will begin. But there is no hard and fast rule about this bleeding. Some girls do not bleed because the wall breaks before sex due to so many factors. For how long you will bleed also depends upon from case to case. Some girls bleeds too much than others. But the idea should be to tell your partner to do the sex slowly and not excitedly.

Thanks for trying to help but you have the wrong idea. You're talking about when someone loses their virginity and I'm talking about when the sperm attaches to the egg after having sex.

Implantation bleeding has nothing to do with sex!! When you ovulate, usually day 14 of a cycle, an egg is released.
If sperm are present than fertilization can occur. If it does, the blasyocyte travels down the fallopian tube to the womb. This usually takes 6-10 days past ovulation. It will then implant into the lining of the uterus. Only a few women experience implantation bleeding at this time. It only lasts for a few minutes. It is usually only a few spots of blood and its not the color of a real period. Its lighter, kinda pinkish. Hope this helps
