Depo shots are effective for three months. So that one shot will stay with you for at least that long. After that, it will start to leave you system. But every woman is a bit different. Some get their regular periods back right away, others take months to get back on track, others don't lose their period while on Depo in the first place. So we won't be able to tell you exactly when you will return to your normal cycle.
