Have you ever been to a rheumatologist for bloodwork? If not, I would advise it in the near future. My fingers turn white, blue, and then very red and go numb also. It is called reynaud's phenomenon. I tested poditive for lupus after going to my rheumatologist over this issue. Not to scare you or anything, but it is better to be safe than to be sorry in the end. I hope this helped you! Amanda

I would go to a rheumatologist for blood work. I have the same thing and they call it reynaud's phenomenon. My fingers turn white, blue , red and even go numb and this hurts very badly. I had bloodwork done and was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosis. Not to scare you ,but it is better to be safe than sorry!

I mean the tips of my fingers just under my nails are a light red and brown?

This could be the problem with the low blood pressure or in so much cold. You need to make yourself warm and take care of the blood pressure. For more information, see the link:

My left hand the last two fingers turn purple,and then go numb and start burning all the way up to my elbow, what could this be?I have been going to the doctor for 4 months now and they don't seem to know, I have had all kinds of blood work and test done , but still no answers. My fingers stay very cold all the time and sting a lot also
