The person above who said it's not possible to feel fetal movements at 8 weeks is just plain wrong, I am sorry. It's one thing what the books say, it's another what real life experiences are...these are usually very different :) especially if it's not your first baby.
I felt my first baby at 16 weeks, I felt my 2nd baby at 12 weeks, I felt my 3rd at 10 weeks. Now I am 6 weeks pregnant and I DO feel movements and I KNOW what I am talking about because I've been through this 3 other times (actually, 4, but we lost the 4th baby..)
My ob-gyn said it's very rare but some people do feel fetal movement very early on.
You might want to get an ultrasound though, because you might have more than one baby in there..:) in that case it's quite possible to feel fetal movements at 8 weeks, even earlier. Not usual, not the norm...but it IS possible :)
Anyway I'm waiting for my you/s too to check whether it's one or two this time.
Good luck!
