The person above who said it's not possible to feel fetal movements at 8 weeks is just plain wrong, I am sorry. It's one thing what the books say, it's another what real life experiences are...these are usually very different :) especially if it's not your first baby.
I felt my first baby at 16 weeks, I felt my 2nd baby at 12 weeks, I felt my 3rd at 10 weeks. Now I am 6 weeks pregnant and I DO feel movements and I KNOW what I am talking about because I've been through this 3 other  times (actually, 4, but we lost the 4th baby..)
My ob-gyn said it's very rare but some people do feel fetal movement very early on.
You might want to get an ultrasound though, because you might have more than one baby in there..:) in that case it's quite possible to feel fetal movements at 8 weeks, even earlier. Not usual, not the norm...but it IS possible :)
Anyway I'm waiting for my you/s too to check whether it's one or two this time.

Good luck!

Yes! I don't care what baby book you read, I felt my 3rd child moving at 9 weeks and I KNEW it was him b/c it was very rhythmic, which carried on throughout my  pregnancy. He is almost 5 years old now and he still does it. I am 7 weeks pregnant now and still don't have a positive test but I AM feeling movement! I am the woman who breaks all the rules. Still pregnant with tons of neg home tests, and I feel movement way earlier than science believes is possible. What do they know? Science is proved wrong all the time! You know your body, so just trust what it's telling you and don't let anyone tell you you're crazy or you don't know what you're talking about

I am 8 weeks and have been feeling movement for 3 weeks. The baby already has a pattern of activity - most movement in the evenings. My husband was able to feel movement two days ago.  There are those of us who don't follow what the books say!

I am 8 weeks (ish) and when I was on a long drive today I felt 4 very distinctive movements at different times. Not gentle, a cross between bubbles and the sudden sensation that my bladder was full and tumbling like a log-and then gone just as quickly. (and no my bladder wasn't full and I don't have gas)  This is my 2nd pregnancy so I know it feels the same as last time. I don't see how it could be twins, as far as I know there is none of my side or my husbands-my sister had twins with her husband but he's a twin so that's got nothing to do with me. Interesting thought though.  I was very small (size 4 Australian-size 0 U.S) and I feel like everythings happening faster and bigger and (sicker and tireder lol) this time around.
