People who are against abortion are usually labelled as "pro-life". Through either religious or moral beliefs, or acceptance of medical and scientific theories, they believe that human life begins at conception, the point at which the father's sperm meets the mother's egg and fuses to create a genetically new and genetically complete human being. They disagree with any attempts to procure an abortion and therefore end the life of the unborn child. They are also opposed to the practice for a number of other reasons.
Firstly, some argue that an abortion can lead to physical and mental difficulties for the mother involved in an abortion. In addition, pro-lifers generally agree that the medical profession's duty is to save lives and not destroy them, as happens, they argue, in the abortion procedure. In short, they believe that the right to life of the unborn child outweighs the right of the woman to terminate her pregnancy.
Some people believe that abortion is the killing of an unborn soul. Their idea of life may be that life begins at conceptional and others believe that life starts when the embryo has a heart beat.
I neither agree nor disagree, it is a personal choice, I am 14 weeks pregnant and it was a planned pregnancy...I'm married and secure, but there are often mitigating circumstances. I think its down to the individual, for example what if your 13 and you are raped, is it wrong then?? Or if the baby was to be 100 % severely disabled...unable to walk, see hear or speak or breathe alone... What then?? There is no right or wrong answer and I think that if someone chooses to have an abortion, it's down to them and other people should not stand in judgment on them
I believe that religious fanatics and bigots are opposed to abortion because of their blind fanaticism to their cult.
The concept of going forth and multiplying (Noah) was the practical solution to an economic situation. In the times when the economy was controlled by agriculture and farming, the more members in the family meant more wealth would be generated. With the increase of genetic and viral impact on childbirth today, these self-righteous fanatics prefer to condemn a child to a life of physical and emotional "HELL" rather than accept the civilized and compassionate alternative.
These selfish individuals ultimately refuse to accept the realities of life where abortion is predicated upon the absolute entitlement of every child to the right to be born into a home where he/she will receive appropriate food, clothing and shelter and also the right to be loved and nurtured in a conscientious, dedicated and respectable manner. They prefer to support a most inhumane act of criminality by bring a child into a world where there is an absence of the financial, emotional and physical ability to competently cater to the needs of the child. They refuse to accept the fact that a person, who decides to bring a child into this world, should consider the social, physical and emotional conditions under which the child will be expected to exist and as a result an abortion is the civilized option for those persons who are unfit to be parents. Unfit persons can fall within the following categories; medically unfit, physically unfit, emotionally unfit, socially unfit and financially unfit. In a progressive society such persons would not be permitted to bring a child into this world. A child does not have the freedom to choose the most competent person for his/her parent so those who have the privilege of choice, should do so wisely.
Abortion is murder. It is depriving an innocent baby of life.It is cruel and evil.Life is a right, not a privilage. The baby has a right to live. As soon as you are conceived, you are a unique human being.everyone is special, including unborn children.Abortion is the most evil thing anyone could possibly do.It is the murder of a fellow human-and it is the murder of your own child.
I personally think that you should still open your legs because of the pleasurable time you get but you shud fink about the consequences before you get a bun in the oven :D
Abortion should be left alone I belive if you want to have an abortion you should itz your own personal decision I belive in pro choice I believe a women should have her own view and you can't say anything about unless you have experienced something you can't judge anyone on what they do cause if your religious your not here 2 judge anyone thatz god job not urz nd #1 if your not ready to have children then yes it is your right to do what you want and feel at that time at that moment #2 if you stable and tryin to pay for things wit a struggle then how are you goin to take care of a child dealin with the stress and pain I am christian but I feel strongly abou my decision in pro choice now if your jus a women or young lady thatz havin sex nd gettin pregnant time after time after time then yes that irresponsiable and yes I agree with the sayin if you not ready for the consequences why have sex people wake the hell up cause no matter what you say people are goin 2 do what they want regardless of what somebody else say 2 them itz life get over it and if a women get raped and get pregnant I don't feel like she should have that baby if she doesnt want to itz her choice her and if you don't like it guess what owell itz still going to happen
Let us have mutual respect for others. We are all free and have individual domain over our souls and bodies. No one . . . Repeat this . . . "No One" besides the self has domain, or should even dare think, they can control others. What any woman, or man, chooses for themselves, even if they choose to take their own life, should have that choice, and we should celebrate that freedom for every human being on earth. You can dislike abortion if you choose, but you do not have the right, nor should you have the desire, to force someone else to think like you.
In my opinion, if someone doesn't believe in abortions, then they shouldn't get one. I don't want their beliefs interrupting my life on such a major scale- motherhood is not something to take lightly. Besides, Its not any of their business if I get an abortion if I need it, its only my business, and mine alone.
The biggest issue is where life starts- pro life people believe that life starts at conception. Others believe that the child's life starts at the first trimester, etc. Etc. Etc.
I do not think people should have abortions. When you choose to abort you are ending an innocent life. A life that has done nothing to harm you, to harm others, has not broken the law, or broken any rules. It is not right, would you kill an elder because you do not want them around anymore. Would you kill a 5 year old because you do not want them around anymore? Abortion is a very touchy subject, and a VERY important decision. There are two sides to it, Abort, or don't abort. Your choice...which will you choose?
I think abortion should be legal because it's the person's choice to get and not yours, you don't know why they are getting abortion maybe it's because of a certain reason, yes people believe it's wrong but whoever is having the abortion it's there choice to get it and you shouldn't be telling them what to do in there life, because there not telling you what to do in your life, so don't do it to them.
Some people feel that abortion gives an option for the less-than-careful among us to use it as a method of birth control.
This is a fallacious argument as the medical profession is always on the look-out for this type of behaviour. There have not been a string of cases where women have been seeking and having abortions several times a year to abort unwanted fetuses due to unprotected sex.
Also, there is now a "morning after" pill to reduce the likelihood of this scenario happening.
Some also feel that it is going against God's wishes to procreate; however, since so many children are unwanted and neglected and abused, I don't think we need to worry about populating the earth right now.
Honestly who are you to judge. Being a teenager is hard enough, add a baby to the mix. You really have noo idea what it's like finding out your pregnant when your 15 and you have no one to support you or help you through it at all. And on top of that, the baby's dad is pretty much a deadbeat and doesn't care what happens. And then you find out about all the health risks your taking. I think that abortions are okay in some situations, like seriously somethings are just inevitable. It's not killing a child until your further along, and there is actually a heartbeat. Stop judging people, because you'll never know what it's really like unless your forced to face it.
Yeah, I agree with Anonymous. I am not religious but I have views that people should not judge someone elses decisions. I think that reglion is very contradictory and very cruel. Personally, I am not against Abortion and I think it is up to the woman and it should be available as an option (an example would be if the woman suffered a rape - then she should be able to feel free to do that) and she should feel free to have one without judgement to.
Abortion is no more wrong or right than wearing a condom/taking b-control/taking the morning after pill... Or hell, not trying to produce as many kids as humanly possible.
I think abortion is one of the most disgusting things that a human can do. I hate when people bring up the rape or "unwanted" pregnancy thing. The child did nothing to deserve the fate that awaits them. Yes, it is a terrible thing but why should you end their life for it. Adoption is always a possibility. There are thousands of loving couples who would take the baby and love it. I bet half the people that say they don't care about abortion don't know how it's performed. It is a barbaric procedure and in later stages of pregnancy, the baby feels every bit of it. I think America has a twisted view of the world. They go up in arms when our soldiers parade around a naked Iraqi, but turn a blind eye to the thousands of innocent children being murdered everyday.
