Can You Get Pregnant Without Having Your Period?

I am 55 and have not had my menstrual cycle for over 5 years. It just stopped naturally. My GYN is not concerned and I feel stupid to ask her. Is it still possible to get pregnant after 5 years. I do not want another child.

My doctors have said yes you can still get pregnant without having a period...all you have to be doing is still ovulate...just think about it...there woman in there late 50s early 60s that still get pregnant...they don't have there periods by this age...but they are still ovulating, obviously...

Yes you can! I didn't have a cycle for 7 months and GOT PREGNANT. I haven't had my period since July...and it's now February...and I'm 1 month pregnant. I didn't think it was possible....but it is!!

I have not understand your question completely. If a women has never got her menstrual period then there can be problem and pregnancy is not possible without treatment and treatment of this condition is not 100% successful.

If a woman was having menstrual periods previously and now not having periods then chances are that she may not become pregnant because absence of periods means either a woman is pregnant, nursing or having any other problem that is not only delaying her periods but also can affect ovulation. So, in the absence of periods and ovulation pregnancy is usually not possible.

I had a d&c on the 16-feb-09 ,I had my period on the 18-mar-09 we are now in april-24  I'm  pregnant,(I did not use a condom)

I have not had a period since I had my baby in July of 2007. I'm thinking of having another baby but I don't know if I'm ovulating if I don't have a period. Is there anything that can be done?

I don't think so becasue you didint have your peiod on yet girl no you can't get pregent when not havin your period but if you already had your period n if it is not on yet n com on next motn or so well theres a change (you might get pregent)

I don't think you can ever get pregnant without having your period because it is the  egg that should got fertilized to become foetus refused  to  come out and without  the egg  there is  no  period  nor  pregnancy.may  be  you are  in menopause  stage...I  guess
