Normal menstrual cycle can be of 26-32 days and normal bleeding periods is 1-7 days. Cycle irregularities can be due many reasons like problems with hypothalamus, pituitary gland, ovaries, hormonal imbalance, stress due to anxiety, depression or other psychological problems, malnutrition, work overload, and pelvic inflammatory diseases. In my opinion, you should visit a doctor for complete gynecological examination, hormonal investigations like estrogen, progesterone & prolactin and vaginal ultrasound. These investigations will help to diagnose your problem.
