Using heroin during pregnancy increases the chance of premature birth, low birth weight, breathing difficulties, low blood sugar, bleeding within the brain , and infant death. Babies can also be born addicted to heroin and can suffer from withdrawal symptoms.  Check out

Using Heroin while pregnant is just as bad as having withdrawal systems while pregnant. The complications are very, very bad. If addicted you need to go in to rehab right now and get help with withdrawal so you and your baby have a fighting chance.. If you want a list of things that can go wrong with the child while using, well that list is endless. Here are a few to give you an idea
death, born addicted to heroin, low birth weight, development problems, retardation, all of the "add" disorders, bi-polor, brain defect, lung damage, etc.....

If you or someone you know is addicted and pregnant, PLEASE don't try to deal with it alone, seek help
