When an individual sneezes, the heart stops to beat for second. The tickle which is caused in the nose basically is a sensation of the hair which collects and prevents particles from going further into the body and the irritation results in a sneezing reaction.

A sneeze also known as sternutation basically is semi-autonomous, paroxysmal ejection of air from the nose and mouth. Sneezes increase diseases by creating infectious droplets. Sneezing is usually caused because of irritation and occasionally because of bacterial clog up in the throat and ears, lungs, or in the channels of the nose.

When a person sneezes, his eyelids reflexively close, perhaps as a response to ease the repulsive pressure which a sneeze creates behind the eyes.

Wow, Umm, I would go with answer two If I were you.

First of all your heart definitely does not stop when you sneeze regardless of what you may have heard, and second the tickling is the sensation of glands releasing mucus into the back of the nose. The sneeze is designed to clear irritants from the nose by secreting mucus and then violently expelling it from the nose to catch and clean out the cause of the irritation. Most often the mucus is expelled in very minute particles unless there is a viral infection such as the common cold where there is a build up of mucus within the nose. During colds the sneeze is also used to clear out the wider sinus cavity.
