Do NOT drink through a straw or use a squirt bottle if you happen to dislodge the blot clot that is forming in you socket it will be extremely painful.You will have to go back to your dentist every day and get the socket packed with some medicated material and it will also take a lot longer to heal! The clot can be dislodged with a sucking motion(straw,smoking,spitting etc)also if you rinse to hard.Soft foods are fine after 24hrs just be sure to rinse with warm salt water(8oz water w/ 1/2tsp salt)after so as to not leave anything in the healing socket.Good luck.
