Frequent urination a week before your period (or indeed at any time before) could be a sign that you are pregnant, however it is not a conclusive sign that this is the case. Other factors could play a part as to why you are urinating more frequently and you should always seek confirmation from a reliable pregnancy test, or speak to a health professional to get a confirmed diagnosis.

  1. Early signs of pregnancy
The need to urinate frequently can be an sign of the early stages of pregnancy in some, but by no means all, women. The signs each woman experiences will differ from individual to individual, but some of the most common signs of early pregnancy include:
  1. Lower abdominal cramps and spotting (caused by the implantation of the fertilized egg into the lining of the uterus)
  2. Cravings for certain types of food
  3. Mood swings, or feeling emotional
  4. Frequent urination
  • Signs of pregnancy that show 21 days after conception
Other early signs of pregnancy which can show up after around three weeks from conception include:
  1. Nausea or 'Morning Sickness' (which can last for up to 10 weeks)
  2. Swollen breasts that feel tender
  3. Nipples getting darker and wider
  4. Feeling more fatigued (though some pregnant women report this sooner)
  5. Frequently feeling like you have heartburn, indigestion (again, some pregnant women report this sooner than 21 days)
  6. Constipation
  • If you are unsure if you are pregnant
If you are unsure whether you are pregnant then it is best to take a pregnancy test. Many of these tests are available over the counter at a pharmacy, or a health professional will be able to help you get an accurate diagnosis.

Excessive urination can be a sign of pregnancy, but it can also be a sign of other conditions, such as a bladder or kidney infection. In either case, it is sensible to seek professional medical advice to clarify the issue.

It could be,but like the other person said its too early too tell.I am trying to get pregnant,so anytime I have a typical pregnancy symptom I start thinking I am,but I keep getting disapointed because every month I get my period.Wait it out,and if more symptoms pop up and you miss one period or more, you are probably pregnant.

Peeing a lot is a pregnancy symptom. But if you are pregnant, one week before your period is due would probably be extremely early on in the pregnancy. Most women do not notice any symptoms that early. You'll probably have to just wait for your period and take a test if it is late.
