It isn't true that you can miscarry due to heaving lifting.
Miscarriage is not due to sexual intercourse, stress, loud noises, frightening the baby, being hit in the stomach or heaving lifting.
Heaving lifting will hurt you way before it ever hurts the baby.
The worst it may due is tear the placenta, but that is an extreme case. In most cases the placenta will heal itself anyways.
You sisters miscarriage is unfortunate but not due to her heavy lifting.
Most miscarriages are due to chromosomal and hormonal abnormalities.

No lifting toddlers or daily goods does not cause miscarriage. Even lifting furnitures or heavy items doesn't cause miscarriage. If it happens then that is just a coincidence and not the fault of lifting. But one must rest, and eat healthy as much as possible during pregnancy.

Of cors lifting heavy objects increases the risk of miscarriage in the 1st trimester. It's not true that it's only a myth. When my sister was on her 1st term she carried 5 kilos of detergent liquid from her office to the parking lot. She bled after a few minutes. That's not coincidence. It then led to cramping until she expelled the fetus. Whoever says lifting heavy objects and miscarriage is a myth...try it for yourself.
