Sounds like a bacterial infection, a yeast infection does not smell just irritating as hell, but bacterial infections do have a oder, and women sometimes get them when getting ready to start their period, and hormones are off balanced something to do with the white blood cells, the doc will give you antibiotics but nothing to be alarmed about, but do get treatment or it will not get better.

It's probably a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. I would get checked though. Also, when you ovulate mid cycle you can sometimes have more discharge(just the va-jay-jay cleaning itself. No worries hun, just go to the doctor. You will feel a lot better

White discharge can be yeast infection if you are having cottage cheese odor along with itching and burning sensations. If you are not having any odor and discomfort then it is not an infection. For yeast infection, you can use anti-fungal medicines either local application or oral but getting advice from doctor is better option. If odor is fishy then it is bacterial infection and can be treated with antibiotics.

Could be vaginosis. Try an acidophilus supplement (at least 1 billion live cultures) 2x a day. Add two 400 mg folic acid supplement to your diet twice a day. Finally, a 1/2 distilled water, 1/2 3% hydrogen peroxide douche (homemade: Empty contents of a douche bottle and replace with the peroxide/water solution. Do the acidophilus/folic acid/peroxide treatment for 3-4 days....if symptoms don't improve, see your doctor.

If you are a virgin, you don't have an STD.  You didn't give much information, but an infection doesn't sound likely either.  You should see a doctor to find out.
