Don’t worry! There are often simple reasons why you haven’t had your period, so there could be no cause to get stressed or concerned. It’s not all that uncommon for a woman to not ovulate on a regular basis. Some people stop having periods for great deals of time, only to start experiencing them once again a while afterwards. A common cause is actually stress. When the mind is stressed, the body suffers, and can experience harm as it will want to preserve its resources. The stress hormones are able to change the way your whole body works. So if you’re currently overworked, it’s no surprise that you are not ovulating regularly! Tension at work, or during exam times makes it common to not ovulate regularly.
But there are other reasons, too. Are you experiencing mood swings? A loss in appetite? Then you could be suffering from a hormone imbalance. These are rather common in young women, so it’s not something that you should worry about. Ovulation is controlled by the interactions of a number of hormones in the body. Hence, a hormone imbalance could have a huge effect on your ovulation. Any change in hormones could have a huge impact.
If you still don’t know what’s causing your imbalance, then simply get in touch with your doctor, or the family planning clinic. You’re not necessarily suffering from a huge problem. Most of the time this problem can be explained and solved with ease. Don’t worry! Just get in touch with somebody who can help you. It’s a common problem, just like a cold!
I'm almost 17, I got my period when I was in Grade 6. Since grade 8 it was going normally, but since I went to high school...they havent been normal. I am a virgin, I've taken medicine but not birth control pills. I usually get them after 2-3 months but once I got it after 11 months. My friends get it regularly and sometimes I think I am abnormal. I told my mom to take me to the dr, shes like "oh don't worry they will start" like she is too over protective and doesn't want me to have any ultrasounds. My friends told me that I should exercise regularly and eat healthy foods. I went for a walk for a fundraiser and I walked 3.5km, the next day...I got my period. But I am too lazy to exercise but hey its the only way I can get mine normally. Hopefully mine will start normal:)
I'm 21 and I've been havin the same problem since I was 14. Our bodies ar so sensitive that anything can be why we don't get our period like due to stress ect. But my advice is be active... Or do some stretching it always helps for me... Also herbal tea works a lot...good luck
This has happened to me before and I am 23 w/ a 2 year old daughter. This is normal for some women, however you may want to check w/ you doctor just to be sure. If you are around 12-16 years of age......give your body some time to regulate your system. You will be fine.
You will have to wait for a little while if its your first year, because it is normal to have irregular periods but if it is too long , or it is past 2-3 years already then go to the doctor..
Many things can cause it. Stress, eating to much/too less, or maybe your just not regular: But if you don't get your period soon defiantely tell the doctor what's up so they can help you.
Theres nothing wrong the same thing happens to me, you just have an irregular period, after you start having your period it can take up to 3 years for it to become regular, but you still might want to talk to a doctor or something. Sometimes sex isn't the only reason.
You will be alright but if you go 2 long without your see period consault a doctor I havent had my period in bout 3 or 4 months but I juss got it yeaterdayy so itll come don't worry

I haven't had my period in about 4 and a half months now. I'm 15 and I've had it for 4 years. I've always been regular at the beginning of every month. But now instead of getting my period, I just get really, really severe cramps at the beginning of each month for a few days. I've never had sex or anything like that either. I told my mom but she doesn't know what to do either. I'm really worried.
I'm 16 years old and I haven't gotten my period every month. I started my period in 8th grade and I got for about six months and then six-ish months without it and then I would get it. It isn't regular and I no that much. It's been more than six months since my last period, it that bad? What should I do? I'm starting to get really scared. Someone please help.
