To lose weight fast...adopt a 1,200 calorie/day diet and do cardio every day for 1 hour.
If you workout strenuously you will burn about 500 calories/hour, which over the course of 1 week will be 3,500 calories burned, which equates to 1 pound of weight loss.
The rest of the weight loss comes from your diet. How much you lose there will depend on how far under your maintenance 1,200 calories is.
For a 150 pound person, it would be : Bodyweight(150) x 15 = 2,250.
For a 300 pound person, it would be : Bodyweight(300) x 15 = 4,500.
The 300 pound person would be losing more on diet alone since they would have a larger deficit from their maintenance.
If you want the weight loss to be faster than this, add more cardio, however more cardio than 1 hour a day would be a lot to handle.
I'd strongly suggest you spend time learning a diet that other people have successfully implemented then implementing that yourself.
