What is a quick and effective ways to lose weight and get a slimmer and healthier looking body?

The quickest way to lose weight may not necessarily be the most effective way.

The quickest way would be to jump right in, cold turkey into the perfect diet...and for most, that would make things hard to maintain right off the bat.

I'd say the most effective way is to make gradual changes to your diet, like work on getting your breakfast down to where it's healthy, then move onto lunch and finally dinner.

But, to break it down for you...You should never drop down below 1,200 calories/day as a woman or 1,500 calories as a  guy.

In order to more easily stay on these diets, its best to cut out all processed food as it tends to be oratorically dense food which won't help you stay satiated on the diet.

Stick to lots of veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, celery), lean meats (chicken, fish, lean beef, egg whites) and 1-2 fruits per day.

most importantly, count your calories and track them, and weigh your food so you know whats going into your body, skipping this step will mean the difference between success and failure in the long term.

Diet and exercise take time.

But if you're really serious. Check out p90x or insanity workouts.
I hope you're committed to the idea, because it's gonna be hell for a few weeks if you take that route.

Get active every day. (increase it over time - try to start with 20
minutes of activity a day and move up to 30, 45, 60, etc...)

Eat more natural foods (things that don't come out of a box, aka
processed foods). Trade in butter for Olive Oil (healthier for
you)...Eat vegetables and fruit.

Watch what you're eating and don't have any snacks. If you are hungry between meals then just have a handful of nuts or seeds. Say no to chocolate and sweets! Carbs are also not good for you. If you think exercise will help then you could start going to the gym or any other sports a few times a week. It might make you more motivated to go with a freind but you can go by yourself. There is also lots of helpful videos on youtube on how to loose weight and different workouts you can do..oh, and drink plenty of water as it doesn't only hydrate you, it stops you eating as much too.
