The fastest way to lose 75 pounds the right way is NOT through crash dieting :)

Do not dip below 1,200 calories and do an hour of cardio to burn an additional 500 calories/day (which will lead to 3,500 calories burned a week, which will result in 1 pound of weight loss).

Focus on a diet full of veggies and lean meats, as well as a few fruits and a handful of nuts at each meal if you desire...

If you encounter any plateaus, go 1-2 days with low-no carbs, eat only veggies+lean meats, that should start the weight loss up again.

Alternatively to get around plateaus, increase the duration or intensity of the cardio you're doing.

One last thing...add re-feeds to your diet, where you eat at maintenance about once a week.

Maintenance calories = bodyweight x 15

Count your calories and weigh your food daily!

Drink 8 glasses of water...

Be patient and give it time...a good amount of weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week.

You may be able to see more loss if you are obese or overweight, but by far the biggest thing is PATIENCE...this is a lifestyle change, it is a marathon, not a sprint. Find yourself a successful diet/exercise system and implement it.

You can find more info on how to do that here.

And remember that it is important to always follow the diet and drink, devote time to physical activity, sleep for 7-8 hours - these are the golden rules for those who lose weight at home and strive to find ideal proportions.

The 'right way' to lose weight generally is a balance of a healthy diet and exercise. The best way to lose weight does not include extreme techniques of crash diets, or sudden rigorous exercise. The human body cannot cope with rapid changes, it responds more favourably to changes that occur slowly, especially when it comes to nutrition and exercise. For instance, if you have not undertaken any kind of exercise in years you should not suddenly start by running for miles in one day.
Similarly, starving for those who are used to eating well will cause a lot of issues, health wise. One should introduce changes in a gradual manner. Even a light form of exercise such as short walks if done on a regular basis can prove to be advantageous.
