I'm 21 also and I have never had a period. I have been to doctors, gynacologists, hormone specialists, everything there is to go to. They've done scans, checked my ovaries, everything is perfect and normal. They put me on the Pill to see if it will help my body with the oestrogen hormone because apparently theres an imbalance in my body. I'm healthy and fit and a lot of people don't start their periods because they might be underweight for their height. I want kids one day more than anything in the world and I'm going to try everything  I can to start them, including eating more to put on weight, taking any medication that they prescribe me, my grandma started late too so it might just be a genetic thing, but if I were you go to the docs again, see what they have to say. You're not alone in this and let that be a comfort. Xxxx

You might also have a tumor!! That is what I am going through right know in my own situation. I am 21 years old and have never had a period either. I am currently going to an endocrinologist, maybe this would work for you too! They deal with hormones and glands.

Hi dnasrw! I want to tell you that I went to school with a young lady who was very tall and thin with minimal breast development who didn't start having her periods until she was about your age, and after she got married -- at age 21. Accept it for what it is, as long as there is nothing wrong. Have you seen an internist or a gynaecologist about this? Let us know what you find out! You are in my thoughts, and good luck!

You can go to the doctor that takes care of women's health. Sometimes woman could get their periods late,it just depends on your own condition.

I am 18 yrs old and i only saw my period for like one and a half week when i was 17 yrs old. I was really excited but still i felt little cramps. Life still goes on right? I don't think not having your period is luck because is totally not healthy. A healthy woman should be seeing her period. For that one and a half week i took some capsule called DONG QUAI/FEMALE GINSENG and it worked. I stopped taking them because i don't why lol but i know it is a very good herb. I recommend you research DONG QUAI and ask your doctor if DONG QUAI good for you then you can check your local pharmacy about dong quai.

I'm 18 and I don't have mine. Like everyone says oh you're so lucky but truly I'm scared. I'm afraid it won't come and I can't have kids. I talked to my doctor it is possible, but I shouldn't worry.

Try going to doctors who specialise in the female reproductive system. There might be something wrong with your ovaries. Maybe you can't even give birth but I don't know for sure.

But don't give up. Try looking for doctors in other places, just don't give up.

There's no need to complain about never having a period - you should consider yourself lucky! As long as you are healthy in all other ways, there is really no need to worry.Periods are really painful and are filled with horrible blood, which is scary.....However, you could ask your doctor to explain matters, if you are seriously concerned.
