Periods after taking oral progesterone are possible but depend upon type of progesterone you have take, its dose and duration of use. Usually, progesterone are taken for 10 days and bleeding is expected three days after the discontinuation of the drug. Most widely used oral progesterone are norethisterone and medroxyprogesterone. Both are synthetic with strong progesterone effects.
