Suboxone will block the effects of opiates for 12- 24 hours. Wait at least 12 hours after taking Suboxone to take Percocet... After 24 hours, you will be able to feel full effects of Percocets.

Actually, if you take an opiate while on Suboxone it will NOT make you sick. However, it will be ineffective because Suboxone has an opiate blocker, Naloxone...

Now, if you do the opposite... You are on a shorter acting opiate and not in withdrawals when you take it , you will become violently ill. The reason being... The Suboxone/Naloxone will quickly knock the opiates off your receptors sending you into the worst withdrawal of your life. It can last up to 96 hours!

So, if you want to take a pain medication and you are on Suboxone, wait approximately 24-48 hrs if you want to receive the full benefits of the medication, but if you do take it sooner... It won't hurt you-it just won't help you either!
