Unless it turns into a normal flow, spotting does not necessarily mean you're on your period.  If you're only spotting, then there's a chance you could be pregnant.  OR, are you talking about implantation bleeding (light spotting for about a day between ovulation and your period)?  If that's what you're talking about, then no, you do not have to have any type of spotting to be pregnant.  Some women do, some don't.  I never did.

What I want to know is for how long should a pregnant women spot for is it normal to spot for 3 days ?
