It can cause you to lose weight. But it's a pretty unhealthy way to lose weight. And that means it comes at a price (hair loss, tooth loss, etc.), and you're likely to put the weight right back on when you stop getting sick. So the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat healthy food, eat small meals often to keep your metabolism working at top speed, and exercise.

It's called bulimia, and there's no way you should ever do that, sure you'll lose weight, but you'll also wreck your teeth, give yourself of the esophagus maybe, and you'll gain it all back.  What you have to do is find a healthy diet you can stick with, this sure isn't it.

A lot of people who are sick end up losing weight due to a lack of appetite.

Couple that with the fact that many people limit what they eat to just soup which is relatively low in calories (200-300 for 1 can) and you have easy weight loss.

But why would you want to make yourself sick to lose weight?

Why not realize that you have the willpower to do it yourself and you don't need any crutches to make it happen.

You just need to take it a day at a time...make small changes.

First work on changing breakfast..make it a bit healthier, a bit lower in calories...then when that becomes habitual, move onto lunch..then dinner...making incremental changes makes a complete diet overhaul seem more manageable.

If you want to lose some weight, just get used to filling yourself up with not only soup, but vegetables/salads, as well as lean meats and some fruits/nuts.

Other foods to consider are: Oatmeal, yogurt, no
fat cottage cheese and brown rice.
