A miscarriage is a pregnancy that ends before 20 weeks are up. It is a physical phenomenon that is symptomized by, among others, severe cramping, bleeding, spotting, etc. It occurs becauseof an improperly attached placenta or because of a poorly developng foetus. Miscarriages are not rare, and in fact are seen in about 15 to 20 percent of all pregnancies. However, having a miscarriage does not mean you cannot conceive again.

Immediately following the miscarriage, you must take rest and give your body adequate time to heal. After a miscarriage your normal menstrual cycle will resume, and you will have your first period then between three to six weeks are the miscarriage. However, take your time before resuming secual intercourse. You need to complete at least one menstrual cycle before thinking of trying to conceive again. Usually giving more rest to the body is better. Once you complete at least one menstrual cycle, you can then safely think of conceiving again.

The doctors suggest you wait at least 3 months before trying to get pregnant again to make sure your body doesnt have any problems  after the miscarriage

I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks before chirstmas. The day I took the test later on that day I started bleeding. I went to the hospital to be checked out and they did a test and said I was still pregnant...They booked me a scan for the 23rd of december to find out how far gone I was. I went to the scan and she could not find anything. She did another pregnancy test and it came back negative...So I had a miscariage. I only stopped bleeding about a week and a half ago. But I really want to have another baby but I don't know  how long after a miscariage it takes to get pregnant. The woman who did my scan said I could start trying when ever I was ready. I hope I get pregnant soon as I want a lil brother or sister for my 19month old son. As well as for my self :o)....I feel sorry for everyone out there who has miscarried as this has been my 2nd one and it is a horrible thing to experience...Anyway good luck to everyone out there who is trying for a baby after suffering a miscariage. I'm not sure you ovulate that first cycle after the miscarriage.  My doctor said it was best to wait two full cycles ...3 months after the miscarriage before trying again, you CAN get pregnant before that though.

My doc. Told us to wait 2 months after my october m/c and d&c. We waited 2 months and I got preggo again but ended up having a chemical pregnancy in January at maybe 4 1/2 weeks. Husband and I decided not to wait to try again since the chemical was more like a period and since we did wait the 1st time and ended up m/c again anyway. So I've had 2 in a row and I'm only 21! Hope 3rd times the charm. I'll be praying for everybody who's had to go threw this and hope they all their dreams come true soon.

It all depends on the person and the menstrul cycle. Best thing to do is go to your doctor to make sure everything is fine, and he/she gives you the ok to try again. You been through a lot.

I had a missed miscarriage around 8-9weeks  I didnt found out until my 13 week scan 3 days later I started bleeding the bleeding was very heavy so I went to the hospital to be told I havent past the baby yet and I had an infection I had to stay in hospital over night to have a d/c in the morning but in that night I started contracting the baby the baby then got stuck in my cervix and they had to take the baby out there and then as the pain was contacting into my chest and I could not breath... Me and my bf have been having unprotected sex since this. Can I get pregnant again as I only found out I missed miscarried 4 weeks ago?

I miscarried on May 9th at 7 weeks. I did not have to recieve a d&c. I had sex shortly after bleeding stopped from miscarriage and I tested positive in HCG levels last week. I am six weeks, and according to the ultrasound and radiologist everything is fine. Good quant count, etc. It is possible to get pregnant before your first menstrual cycle. I miscarried the same way before my 4 year old was concieved in the very same perdicament. I have more pregnancy symptoms with this pregnancy than last which is GOOD. No cramps, just tender breasts, noticing more trips to the bathroom and nausea but no vomiting. Good luck to all!

My boyfriend and I have recently broken up. The break up was extremely hard, and to make things worse he started a new relationship within the same month and the girl became pregnant. I'm not the one to really play close attention to other but hey! This was my man for 3yrs. They began to date in the beginning of September and by the end of October I seen a signogram of a fetus about 2months is that possibly his baby!!!

This question is about people like myself who have lost their baby throu miscarriage and more than likely suffering because of it. Not for someone to be selfish enough to ask if their boyfriend had potentially been cheating on them.
