My period is completely black. It was only semi red for one day and has this sour smell to it. Is this normal?

This is not normal! My Mom told me that any time your period starts to have an overpowering smell of any kind, it's not good and you should go to a doctor. Pick wisely with your doctor though, some walk-in doctors don't really care about you and will just go through you VERY quickly just to make money. And often they have horrid bed-side manners.
