Yes it does.
I was at 150lbs and I starved for 2 days now I'm at 143lbs
so it does work all you have to do is drink heaps of water

I think it does work!! Obviously if you don't eat anything you will lose weight  but its very hard what I tend to do is eat very small amounts of food and only if I feel I really have to! Your stomach will shrink the first day is the worst as your body is used to the amount of food you already eat, drinking water also helps to fill you up! And I smoke so that helps take my mind off eating!!!!

Yes. I t DOES work. I started yesterday and lost about 2 pounds.
Just drink a lot of water. And eat one small meal every 4 days. That also helps.
I was 150lbs now I'm 148lbs
=)

It does work. For me it does. I used to weigh nearly three hundred pounds freshman year at high school. Yeah I was huge. I starved myself till I was in a hospital. Not a pleasant experience there... Anywho, I now weigh two hundred forty, four years later =D all these health freaks are annoying and usually don't know the facts. I lost sixty pounds and stayed there. And yes I do eat normally. This is just my experience, not sure about everyone else

Of course starving makes you lose weight.. I lost 4kgs in 3 days. Makes my moods go a bit all over the place and I get pretty weak and tired, I drink water, wine, milk and I don't take count sugar or fat... I have studied myself for quite a few years.. I know what I can and can't have...Just sometimes I lose will power and give in. My fattest weight was 96kgs, I got down to 66... But now I am a bit over 70:'( So here I am.. Researching just to bring my control back to the right level. It's hard when I read negative shit about E.D's of course we know it can hurt in the long run.. But the way I see it is... I'm only young once.. I will do my best to be skinny..even if it kills me.

Only for the short term if you want to lose weight quickly. But then you need a healthy diet mixed with a good amount of exercise.

You are 12o lbs and bitching about it??? Wow i really would not starve myself if i were you it is really addicting, and being that you are 120 lbs you might not want to get addicted to this because you aint got much to loose! And u can't just jump back and eat a meal after you will throw up it mess's up your stomach so before you go and do this think ahead!! : ) 120 lbs seems like its not a bad weight babe

I used to do this a lot and didnt gain my weight back but then I had a baby and now I'm 150 before I was pregnant I was 135 so I'm trying to lose the weight but not much time to excersise what do you guys think....if I starve myself for a week just water. How much do you think I would lose? I will do it until I'm 115 I just need a head start the first week is the worst! Help!

Technically its called fasting and is very popular in the christian circles, not for weight loss in that context tho.

You could try that but intense periods of hunger messes up your metabolism so unless your praying to Jesus during that time its really not helpfull.

What you could do for rapid (and usually permanent)weightloss is to cut out wheat from your diet for good. Stop drinking any soda's or coffee, no sugar and lots of really hot spices in your food(best to eat them raw). Spices like raw chili pepers(works the best), raw ginger and cinamon etc. Also, lower your carb intake, start counting calories(yup) and find out how many calories you need for your height and weight.

Starving yourself is 1 thing, fasting is another...

I would suggest fasting for 24 hours at a time, at most twice a week, but DO NOT starve yourself...that is a whole other issue and is unhealthy.

There is a book on fasting called "Eat Stop Eat" which details this idea...

You could also look up "intermittent fasting".

A less aggressive form of this is to fast for 14-16 hours, then eat the rest of the food you need to eat for the day in the remaining 10-8 hour window.

Its a great way to lose weight since you're able to burn additional fat during the fasting phase and when you do eat, you are able to feel more full, more satiated as the meals are so close together.  There are other fast working methods too...you don't have to resort to starvation.

No, if you starve yourself you may initially lose some weight but in the long run your body will go into starvation mode and not lose any weight. Yes, but it will make you very ill and sickly looking. If the scrawny and starving look is what you;re going for, step right ahead. If you want a body like a model, work out twice a day (running is the best way) and cut out sugar, white flour, and simple carbs. Also eat smaller portions. Trust me, I'm a model and the girls who are obviously starving themselves never get casted.

No trust me it dose not work. I did it once and made myself very ill never again will I do it. If it is loosing weight that you want to do then cut out all the rubbish stuff like cakes, sweets fizzy drink like cola ect and instead have a piece of fruit and work out it is the best way, also you can try the shakes. I hope this helps you out a bit

Starving yourself will only kill you or shut down your organs one by one. Do not attempt this at all you are better than this. There are a lot of groups out there that will help you with your problem not to mention your Dr. Will!!
