You should wait at least 24 hours after having a tooth pulled before you dip tobacco.
I think most dentists say no smoking etc for at least a week or 10 days because you don't want tobacco to enter the extraction site and cause an infection and you DO NOT want the clot that forms over the extraction site to fall out !! If it does its called a "dry socket" and is VERY VERY PAINFUL!!! Sucking and spitting can cause the clot to break free...it also may depend on how quick your mouth heals in general...just be careful and perhaps call your dentist and ask him to know for sure....
Pry 5-7 days
My dentist always recommends waiting 24 or more hours before using tobacco of any kind.
I would wait awhile I have been smoking and my mouth got infected and I got them pulled over a month ago and would love to dip but I don't want to infect it anymore and my hole are still not healed up
You do need to wait for a while.
Talk to your dentist about it, I'm not sure how hard the procedure was to get your teeth removed.
For one, it can cause an infection in your sockets, two nicotine does not help with blood clotting which is what needs to happen in your sockets in order for healing to begin. Also, the sucking you do with chewing tobacco can cause the blood clots to fall out which can cause dry socket (a very painful condition).
Please call the dr who removed your teeth and ask him or her.

I have always heard 24 hours. But from my understanding nicotine is addictive and people crave it. So if anyone can go 5-10 days without it, my guess would be that they would completely quit it?
At least three days
After the wounds are completely healed. Do not do it before or you'll probably end up with an infection.
How long do I have to wait until I can start dipping after I had my wisdom teeth cut out
I think chewing tobacco is a disgusting habit....BUT...if you're going to do it anyway, I would highly recommend waiting until the holes are completely healed! I would hate to think of what kind of infections could be caused by tobacco 'juice' getting into an open wound.
How long do I have to wait before I use chewing tobacco or dip after getting wisdom teeth pulled, not cut out.
I don't think you should chew tobacco anymore.
I find it very disgusting that any one ever started.
