You can have an abortion from the early weeks right up to 20-24 weeks in some countries although how anyone could have one so late on is beyond me if you were to discuss abortion with a doctor you can have a medical abortion at up to 9 weeks that means by just medication ,after that it is by surgical removal under anesthectic and you are home in hours ,the procedure of an abortion is no where near as bad as how you may feel after though some women will feel relieved others will regret straight away what they have done this is why you must see your doctor to discuss your feelings and make sure you do what is right for you .I had to have an abortion at 13 weeks in 2003 due to ill health ,I was home in hours a bit sore but fine ,but the guilt set in and it took me along time to come to terms with ,so please take care let me know how you are shout me anytime an I will get right back to you
Usually it's after six weeks but before 14, depending on where you live. Physically, for you, the earlier, the better. I just want to say though, that this is not a decision to take lightly. Well actually it all depends on which country you are in actually. In the UK 24 weeks is the upper limit for having an abortion. In India it is 20 weeks and in the US it varies from state to state. In some European countries it is 14 weeks.

Its 24 weeks in the uk I think its a little high, they should bring it down to 10 or 12 weeks I think, I'm not opposed to it, its a personal choice I suppose
I believe up til you are about 16-20 weeks depending on the laws of your state. However, if you are pregnant and don't want to be you should have been more careful. I don't agree with abortion. But if you are mature enough to have sex be mature enough to give your baby a life he/she deserves and give it up for adoption to a family who can not have kids. If you have an abortion you will regret it later on, and always think about it. I know you are probably scared and don't care. But truse me, my mom has had a few abortions in her past and even put a baby up for adoption. I am the only baby, and she always wonders about the baby. Also, she suffers from bi-polarism now ever since. She regrets giving her babies a chance at life. If you don't want anyone to know you are pregnant there are places out there that can help you. Consider your options. If you are very young that is OK too. Just consider your options. I had my first baby when I was 15. It was hard but I would not change things for the world.
